Dimraeth Crafting

Two ways to learn recipes

Mudtek's official devlog on crafting describes two paths to unlocking recipes. The first is straightforward exploration — you find recipes out in the world. The second is experimental: drop items into the crafting slots, and if they match a valid recipe, you craft the item and unlock that recipe permanently at the same time. Once unlocked, a recipe moves to your recipe list so you don't have to re-discover the combination by hand each time.

The Crafting Codex

The Codex tracks how many undiscovered recipes a given item is tied to, and shows what other items belong to a recipe chain you've already unlocked. Mudtek's own example: an ingredient like tender berries might show undiscovered recipes still attached to it even after you've unlocked its basic potion use — a hint there's more to do with it than what you've already found.

Where you craft

Some crafting can be done straight from your backpack; other recipes require a specific crafting station, so building out more stations at your base expands what you're able to make. Mudtek frames crafting as optional but rewarding — you can ignore it and just keep your character fed, or lean in and treat it as a real source of power over time.

Base building and farming

The wider base-building loop — farms, quarries, cooking, and NPC facility upgrades tied to relationships — is described in Dimraeth's store page as part of the full game. As of the last public playtest before Early Access, though, Mudtek said only the basics of building and farming were implemented: a small set of buildable items and farming seeds, not the full system. Expect this to expand substantially at the September 2026 Early Access launch.
